This system has been replaced. Art made from someone else’s novel now goes through the author directly.
What changed
Licensing is retired. It was built for the dress-up avatar system, which no longer exists. No licences were ever granted, so nothing has been taken away from anyone.
Approval happens per piece now. An artist makes a specific character or banner from your novel and submits it. You see the finished art, the description and exactly what you’d earn, then approve or decline with a note. Nothing goes live without your yes.
One split, every time: the artist keeps 55%, you get 20% as the novel’s author, and DawnScribe keeps 25%. If you make the art yourself, you keep 75%.
Free pieces earn nothing — an artist’s first character or banner is donated to the free randomizer. You still approve it, and readers of your novel may discover it that way.
Nothing to set up in advance. There’s no opt-in list to maintain. Requests come to you as they happen.
